Founding Purpose Rural Health on Wheels
The Foundation currently in the process of being established is to transform how healthcare reaches underserved and remote communities.

Founded by Vince Waterson, Chairman of VK Digital Health, the initiative builds upon years of innovation in tele-triage, mobile diagnostics, and community-centered design.

Our founding purpose is simple yet ambitious:
To eliminate the rural healthcare gap by bringing comprehensive medical services directly to the people — through rail, road, and satellite.

Program Model: “Two Systems, One Network” Rural Health on Wheels operates through two integrated service systems designed to complement one another:

🚆 Hospital Train Units Specialized multi-car trains equipped for medical imaging, minor surgeries, diagnostics, and recovery. Visit designated rural regions up to four times per year on scheduled routes. Provide direct care, triage overflow, and conduct preventive health screenings. Serve as mobile teaching platforms for medical students and telemedicine technicians.
🚐 Smart Clinic Vans Sprinter-based vehicles outfitted with the Smart Clinic Chair, allowing remote triage, diagnostics, and teleconsultations. Connected via satellite to hospital networks for real-time physician guidance. Operate year-round, serving as the local mobile front line between train visits. Enable home-based assessments and follow-up care for chronically ill or mobility-limited patients.
